Program Objective: The Management Essentials Program is designed to equip Managers/Junior Managers of an organisation with the required competencies for their roles:

This program will equip managers with influencing skills that align with their leadership styles and tools & techniques for effective leadership of their teams. Managers will learn about different leadership styles and the impact on these on their team members and overall team performance. The program also addresses the capabilities required for managerial roles. It focuses on the ability to understand a situation or problem, the levels of importance of various situations, and the ability to resolve problems or situations by taking specific actions.

Junior Managers/ Assistant Managers
Any employees considered as high potential and candidates for future supervisory or managerial roles.
Key Learning on completion of program
Day 1
Understanding the basics of leadership in managerial roles.
Managing v Leading , Concept of management, Results orientated approaches
Identifying the competencies required to be a successful manager.
Activity-based learning.
Concept of Emotional Intelligence, Goleman’s model of EI, Using EI to resolve conflicts & improve relationships using case studies. Developing interpersonal skills using Emotional Intelligence theory and practice.
Understanding the communication process
Basics of communication process, communication barriers, Mehrabian’s Communication Model.
Learning how to enhance personal communication skills – verbal and non-verbal.
Conducting effective meetings, Email etiquette, One-on-one sessions.
Day 2
Learning and Practicing the concept of Situational Leadership for employees in different development stages.
Development stages of a person, Leadership styles for different levels of management, Roleplaying for real-life company scenarios.
Identifying the skills to enhance effective problem-solving – Analytical Thinking, Critical Thinking, Lateral Thinking.
Understanding analytical and lateral thinking using puzzles and activities.
Learning and practicing the 6 steps of problem-solving and the decision-making process.
Defining the problem, Root cause analysis, Developing alternate solutions, Selecting and implementing the solution, Plan Evaluation.

Learning Methods
The program is designed to be highly interactive and participative.
Each module is supported by trainer inputs on key concepts, practicing the concepts with individual/team exercises, group discussion, training activities and videos of relevant topics.
Participants will get opportunities to demonstrate their learnings through activities on various platforms.
